This Privacy Policy explains how Aaron Epstein d/b/a SaveMySEO ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use SaveMySEO ("the Service").

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form, never as plain text)
  • Website data: URLs and website content you submit for analysis
  • Generated content: Content plans, articles, and other content generated through the Service
  • API keys: Keys you generate for programmatic access (stored as hashed values)

Information Collected Automatically

  • Session data: IP address and browser user agent, stored with your session for security purposes
  • Usage data: Which features you use, audits you run, and content you generate

Information from Third Parties

  • Keyword data: Search volume, keyword difficulty, and cost-per-click data retrieved from DataForSEO
  • Ranking data: Your website's search engine ranking positions for tracked keywords, retrieved from DataForSEO

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate the Service, including running SEO audits and generating content
  • Send your website's publicly available content to Anthropic's Claude API for AI-powered analysis and content generation
  • Retrieve keyword and ranking data from DataForSEO for your tracked websites and keywords
  • Authenticate you and maintain your session
  • Communicate with you about service updates, term changes, and account-related matters
  • Improve the Service

3. AI Processing Disclosure

When you run an audit or generate content, the publicly available content of the website you are analyzing is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. We do not send your personal account information (name, email, password) to Anthropic — only the website content being analyzed.

AI-generated content and analysis results are stored in our database and associated with your account. Anthropic's use of data sent to their API is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SaveMySEO:

  • Anthropic (Claude API): Receives website content for AI-powered analysis and content generation
  • DataForSEO: Receives domain and keyword queries for search volume and ranking data
  • Neon: Hosts our PostgreSQL database with encrypted connections
  • Cloudflare: Provides hosting, edge deployment, and request routing

5. Data Storage and Security

  • All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon with encrypted connections
  • Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
  • API keys are stored as hashed values
  • All traffic is served over HTTPS
  • The Service is hosted on Cloudflare Workers for global, secure edge deployment

6. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained while your account is active
  • Audit results, content plans, and articles are retained until you delete them or your account
  • Login sessions expire after 7 days
  • When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data through the Service dashboard
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Correct inaccurate information in your account
  • Export your data

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

8. Cookies

We use session cookies solely for authentication purposes. These cookies are necessary to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in different jurisdictions through our use of Cloudflare Workers (edge computing) and Neon (database hosting). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international data transfers.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email and an in-app notification. For material changes, we may require you to re-accept the updated policy.
